About Krissie
Krissie Scudds has worked across Australia’s cultural sector for the past twenty years, and for the past ten years has specialised in using online technologies to connect with audiences and build communities.
Krissie’s experience also covers social and event marketing, project management, publishing, web production, content development, editing, arts management, subscriber communications and youth media, including street press, websites and radio. Krissie is a specialist in young audience development, social networking / web 2.0, youth arts participation, arts marketing, branding strategies, research, evaluation and strategic development. She also has extensive experience in reaching communities of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with disabilities on a national level, and the creative communities of the greater Western Sydney and regional NSW areas.
In 2001, Krissie devised, developed and produced the Australia Council’s inaugural youth arts website, The Program, which connected young people and the arts community. She worked with the Council from 1995 until 2008, across a range of areas and was a founding staff member of the Audience Development & Advocacy division (now Arts Development).
Krissie is also a writer, with interests in criminal psychology and pop-cultural anthropology. She is currently co-writing a play for high-school audiences, and has a passion for comedy.
Krissie works from an office in the Blue Mountains, and balances a working life with a love of home, the gym and her young family.
